The Budget for Home Support will be maintained at the $16.5
million expenditure level from 1995-1996. While this is a
significant increase to the Home Support budget, some
restrictions within the program will have to be applied to
accommodate the 200 new cases just admitted.
Measures will have to put in place to address the escalating costs. Home Support Program will be maintained at the $16.5 million level. There is no option but to meet this budget requirement.
The Department will continue to work with consumers to develop policies which will best benefit clients.
