INVITATION TO TAKE PART
Last year, for the first time in the
Province's history, Government opened to the public the
decision making process leading to the annual Budget.
Many people told Government about high taxes and where
public monies should be spent. This input was invaluable
in preparing the 1996 Budget.
During the coming weeks, a series of public meetings,
chaired by the Minister of Finance, will be held around
the Province. You can attend one of these meetings, write,
e-mail or visit us on
the internet. You may
also fill out the questionnaire
at the back of this paper. Help us prepare the 1997
This paper outlines the sources of Government's funds,
where our money is spent, our debt and the economic
outlook for our Province.
